Helmut Gernsheim was a photographer, collector, historian, curator, author and lecturer. He is now the first historian to be inducted into the International Photography Hall of Fame. Gernsheim pioneered many aspects of collecting photographica and writing about photography’s history, earning his place in the Photography Hall of Fame.
