Prog Reviewer. Peter Bardens is without hesitation one of the most influencial and respected musician from prog rock zone, specially remembered as the key (board) player in famous Camel from 1973 untill Breathless 1978 included. His first solo album outside Camel was out on the streets in 1979 named Heart to Heart.

I'd be tempted to include 'Jazz Rock' as a genre for this album. There are certainly several tracks which clearly fall into that style. I was hoping for some Camel-esque material when I bought this, but I'm very disappointed in that respect as only the very last/title track, 'Heart To Heart' comes anywhere near that style.

19 de jun. de 2012 · Drummer Peter van Hooke, die Bardens kende uit zijn werk voor Van Morrison, en vibrafonist Pete Shade zijn de geheime wapens die de plaat naar een hoger plan tillen, maar de absolute glansrol is weggelegd voor het fijne ouderwetse geluid. Er zit af en toe een wat naar galmpje op de zang, maar voor het overige is “Heart To Heart” een warm bad.
