Hubert Charles Sumlin (Greenwood, Misisipi, 16 de noviembre de 1931–Wayne, Nueva Jersey, 4 de diciembre de 2011) era un guitarrista y cantante de blues de Chicago, más conocido por sus explosiones de notas y sus osadas suspensiones rítmicas, como miembro de la banda de Howlin' Wolf.
Sumlin lived in Totowa, New Jersey for 10 years before his death. He died of heart failure on December 4, 2011, at the age of 80, in a hospital in Wayne, New Jersey. Mick Jagger and Keith Richards paid Sumlin's funeral expenses. Partial discography
