The Light of Smiles is the fourth album by American rock musician Gary Wright.It was released in January 1977 on Warner Bros. Records as the follow-up to his commercial breakthrough, The Dream Weaver.The album was produced by Wright and recorded in Los Angeles in 1976. Aside from drums and orchestral strings, the music was created entirely on synthesizers and other keyboard instruments.

7 de sept. de 2023 · Headin’ home, 1979; In het laatstgenoemde album haalt Gary Wright de gitaar weer van stal met gitaarsolo’s van Steve Lukather (Toto), drums: Jeff Porcaro (Toto) en vele anderen zoals achtergrondzang van Michael McDonald, Graham Nash en David Crosby.Verder heeft Wright samengewerkt met artiesten als George Harrison (The Beatles), Phil Collins, Mick Jones (Foreigner) en Steve Winwood.
Headin' home is het zesde studioalbum van Gary Wright als soloartiest. Het verscheen in juni 1979. Wellicht onder invloed van de toenmalige muziekstromingen liet Wright weer meer rockgeoriënteerde muziekinstrumenten zoals gitaren toe. Europa liet het album links liggen, in de Verenigde Staten deed het nog wel iets. Zijn singles en albums haalden in Nederland geen noteringen (meer).
