Hard Candy is the second solo album by Ned Doheny. It features his version of "Love of Your Own" (written with Hamish Stuart) which was also recorded with Stuart's Average White Band the same year.

Hard Candy - Album by Ned Doheny - Apple Music. Ned Doheny. POP · 1976. Preview. Ned Doheny’s second album has become one of L.A.’s phantom treasures, a rarely heard gem of Laurel Canyon songwriter folk, mellow-down-easy keyboards, sexy R&B beach rhythms, Steely Dan–style jazz, and flashing teeth.
Doheny toured multiple times with a band made up of several studio musicians. His second album Hard Candy was released by CBS in 1976. It included the composition "A Love of Your Own", which was covered by the Average White Band. Chaka Khan also had a hit with a Doheny composition, "What Cha' Gonna Do For Me".
