He was known for his songs \"I'm Moving On\", \"The Golden Rocket\", and \"The Rhumba Boogie\", as well as his versions of \"I Don't Hurt Anymore\", \"Let Me Go, Lover!\", and \"I've Been Everywhere\". He also wrote about his life and music in his autobiography.
