Comments: 18. Glenn J. Wiener from White Plains, Ny When I heard the song Heaven and Hell on the radio I was very intrigued by Ronnie James Dio Black Sabbath. Whereas its a dark song, it balances the two extremes Heaven and Helll. The CD as a whole is quite good with gems like Children Of The Sea, Wishing Well and Lonely Is The Word.

Formed in September 1968 under the initial name Earth, the group's first lineup included lead vocalist Ozzy Osbourne, guitarist Tony Iommi, bassist Geezer Butler and drummer Bill Ward.
Notes. Heaven and Hell is the ninth studio album, released April 25, 1980 and the first to feature new vocalist, Ronnie James Dio. Heaven and Hell reached #28 on the U.S. Billboard charts and sold steadily enough to be certified platinum in 1986.
