Charles John Grayston Ives (born 1948), also known as Bill Ives, is a British composer, singer and choral director. Until March 2009, Ives was Organist, Informator Choristarum, and Fellow and Tutor in Music at Magdalen College, Oxford.

Biography - Bill Ives. Bill has spent his life in choral music – as a singer, conductor, teacher and composer (writing as Grayston Ives). A chorister at Ely Cathedral, he studied music at Cambridge, taking composition lessons with Richard Rodney Bennett.
Bill Ives leads Magdalen College Choir in a premiere recording of some of his own liturgical music. Published under his given name, Grayston Ives, these works were composed between 1973 and 2000. The music ranges from delightfully airy to deep and contemplative to soaring and celebratory.
