8 de jun. de 2021 · Gram Parsons remains to be recognized as a key contributor to the fusion of country, rock, and soul music. Although in his last interview with Michael Bate he stated that he did not like the name country-rock and preferred to enjoy the two genre of music separately, his work in the music industry promoted the fusion of these genre into modern country and rock music.
Parsons would go on to relaunch the Gram Parsons Foundation in 2012 to support musicians and artists worldwide with addiction and recovery services by hosting a launch event at SXSW March 14, 2012. The event featured performances by Brendan Benson , Eric Burdon , Blitzen Trapper , Alberta Cross , Great Lake Swimmers , Jenny O and Poor Man ( Christian Wargo and Casey Wescott from Fleet Foxes ).
Avis marries Robert Ellis Parsons. He adopts both children and Gram legally changes his last name to “Parsons.” 1960-1962.
