Applicants to Caius usually have two Mathematics interviews (one a general mathematics interview, and the other on a selection of chapters from a book we would ask you to look at in advance). Both interviews last about 30 minutes and involve the discussion of mathematical problems—our aim is to find out how you think about Mathematics.

The College’s vibrant community comprises of around 850 undergraduates and graduate students, 110 Fellows and academic staff, and almost 200 staff members. Our students come from all over the world and our undergraduates study all the subjects offered in the University. History and Politics is anchored in a first-year paper called ‘Evidence and Argument’ in which Caius Fellows play a central role. ‘History and Modern Languages’ picks up on long-standing interest in early modern and modern European history at the college, including attention to histories of Italy, Germany and France.
