Gone baby gone is een thriller over een verdwijning, zo zijn er wel veel meer. Maar Affleck slaagt er in om toch ietwat de clichés te vermijden of het er in elk geval niet dik op te leggen. En de spanning blijft lang aangehouden voor de twist bekend wordt voor de kijker.
