Following Angel of Retribution, the band’s 2005 comeback with Rob Halford—his first with Priest since 1990’s Painkiller—the band crafted the poorly received 2008 concept double-CD Nostradamus.

He stepped back from touring in 2018, after revealing that he had been diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease , but was still involved in their most recent album, Firepower .

Priest resumed their 50th Anniversary tour on March 4 in Peoria, Illinois, and dates are scheduled through June 14 in the band’s hometown of Birmingham, England, barring any more unexpected setbacks.
