Hace 4 días · The Ghostbusters score was composed by Elmer Bernstein and performed by the 72-person Hollywood Studio Symphony orchestra at The Village in West Los Angeles, California. It was orchestrated by David Spear and Bernstein's son Peter.
The PR score won, and as I mentioned elsewhere in this thread: Bernstein’s score was butchered, with shit from the soundtrack album replacing Bernstein compositions in key scenes. Parker’s Ghostbusters theme was nominated for Best Original Song and it lost to I Just Called to Say I Love You by Stevie Wonder, from The Woman in Red.

Hace 3 días · Four versions of "Ghostbusters" are included on this soundtrack, each performed by Walk the Moon, Pentatonix, Fall Out Boy featuring Missy Elliott, and the original by Ray Parker Jr. The film score, composed by Theodore Shapiro, was released via digital download on July 8, and CD on July 15 by Sony Classical Records.
