The Georgios Karaiskakis Stadium (Greek: Στάδιο Γεώργιος Καραϊσκάκης), commonly referred to as the Karaiskakis Stadium (Greek: Στάδιο Καραϊσκάκη, [ˈstaðio karaiˈskaki]), is a football stadium in Piraeus, Attica, Greece, and the home ground of the Piraeus football club Olympiacos.
El estadio Georgios Karaiskakis (en griego, Στάδιο Γεώργιος Καραϊσκάκης) es un estadio de fútbol ubicado en la ciudad de El Pireo, Grecia (dentro del área metropolitana de Atenas).
El estadio del Olympiacós, también conocido como Estadio Karaiskakis, fue construido en 1895 como velódromo y convertido en campo de fútbol en 1920. Fue sede de los Juegos Olímpicos de 1896 y de la Revolución griega de 1821. El nuevo estadio, construido en 2004, tiene 32.115 asientos, un césped de 120 x 80 m y un estudio de última tecnología.
The new “Georgios Karaiskakis EOE” was built at the place of the historic stadium that, for decades, used to be the OLYMPIACOS home ground. The Karaiskakis was constructed within a record-breaking time span of 14 months or 428 days, to be more precise.
