George Latham MC & Bar (1 January 1881 – 9 July 1939) was a Welsh international footballer and coach. A veteran of the Second Boer War and World War I, he was awarded the Military Cross for his actions in Gaza, Palestine and Turkey between 1917 and 1918. He finished his military career at the rank of captain.

A skilful midfielder, Latham had been capped for Wales a dozen times before he became the Bluebirds' manager.

George Latham. Biographical information. Biography. Welshman George Latham did not enjoy a very successful footballing career, but that all changed when he turned to coaching. He started as an amateur player with his hometown team Newtown FC in 1897 before spending seven seasons at Liverpool, where he played just 19 games.
