13 de ago. de 2022 · After recording Band on the Run as a three-piece with wife Linda and guitarist Denny Laine, McCartney added Jimmy McCulloch on lead guitar and Geoff Britton on drums to the Wings lineup in 1974. Having written several new songs for the next album, McCartney decided upon New Orleans, Louisiana as the recording venue, and Wings headed there in January 1975.

2 de may. de 2019 · Drummer Geoff Britton’s best-known work is heard on Paul McCartney & Wings’ 1974 single “Junior’s Farm,” which connects to a piece of Middle Tennessee history: the song was recorded in Nashville after being prepared on a rural retreat in Lebanon, Tennessee. Britton, whose stint with Wings was brief, hasn’t been anywhere near the area in decades.
