  2. 13 de abr. de 2024 · I must have gotten lucky as this is the fourth lp from AS in their Steely Dan series that I haven't had an issue with. Others being Can't Buy A Thrill/ Aja / Countdown To Ecstasy And for $150, the quality control should not be sub-standard.

  3. 13 de abr. de 2024 · My countdown to the ecstasy UHQR had exactly the same issues as the OP gaucho, with the added bonus of misaligned labels, definitely disappointing for the money.

After a once-through it was clear the differences between the OG and UHQR of Gaucho were going to be much more nuanced than with the Aja UHQR, which I felt clearly improved in all aspects over any of my OG copies. One thing I've noticed in many of these 33 vs 45 cuttings is the improved bass.

  6. Hate is a strong word. I have four of the tracks in the top 30 from Gaucho. Countdown to Ecstasy has two by comparison. Of the three tracks, I have low. Third World Man and My Rival weren't thought of well back then by critics, while I know there is some revisionism now.
