13 de abr. de 2024 · I must have gotten lucky as this is the fourth lp from AS in their Steely Dan series that I haven't had an issue with. Others being Can't Buy A Thrill/ Aja / Countdown To Ecstasy And for $150, the quality control should not be sub-standard.
13 de abr. de 2024 · My countdown to the ecstasy UHQR had exactly the same issues as the OP gaucho, with the added bonus of misaligned labels, definitely disappointing for the money.

After a once-through it was clear the differences between the OG and UHQR of Gaucho were going to be much more nuanced than with the Aja UHQR, which I felt clearly improved in all aspects over any of my OG copies. One thing I've noticed in many of these 33 vs 45 cuttings is the improved bass.

Hate is a strong word. I have four of the tracks in the top 30 from Gaucho. Countdown to Ecstasy has two by comparison. Of the three tracks, I have low. Third World Man and My Rival weren't thought of well back then by critics, while I know there is some revisionism now.
