But, he has left one hell of a posthumous testimonial to his immense talent on bass. The very latest (and perhaps last) Starcastle effort, "Song Of Times", is teeming with bass guitar excellence on practically every track.

Shortly after bassist/vocalist and founding member Gary Strater would relocate to California and begin to reinvent his own musical vision. Ultimately Gary decided to reform a new more modern version of the band. In 1984 Mark met Gary while busy launching his new band 'Now'.
30 de ene. de 2018 · After the death of drummer Mike Castlehorn in a 1970 road accident, Paul’s brother Steve Tassler joined the band. Around the same time, they expanded to a four-piece with keyboardist Herb Schildt. The following year, Paul cleared way for bassist Gary Strater.
