Friends’ Central provides eager young learners with a dynamic and challenging academic program. In the Middle School, students are encouraged to explore and take risks whether they are in the classroom, on the stage, or on the playing fields. Students in grades 6-8 are ready to think more abstractly and question more critically.

Friends' Central Upper School's challenging and innovative program includes lively and rigorous classes, athletic, artistic, and performance opportunities. The Friends’ Central classroom emphasizes advanced levels of critical and conceptual thinking, and independent projects that require significant student research.
Assistant Principal Rowena Lesher joined the Friends’ Central community as our Lower School Assistant Principal in August 2020. Rowena received her bachelor’s degree in political science and minor in education from UC Berkeley and her master’s in bilingual and bicultural education from Teachers College, Columbia University.
The application typically takes less than 30 minutes to complete and costs $60. Friends’ Central’s school code is 1845. With Clarity the process is more streamlined and straightforward and you will not need to upload any additional documents unless prompted to do so. Most families will only need to upload their most recent pay stub (s).
