28 de ago. de 2017 · Are the terms "This Friday" or "This coming Friday" or "Coming Friday correct? For example can I say "I will go there on this Thursday" or "I will meet her on coming Saturday"?

When we say "(preposition) Friday evening", the preposition we need is "on" because the main noun here is Friday, not evening. We can think of the noun "evening" as acting like an adjective, post-modifying "Friday".

11 de jun. de 2008 · I work here from Monday until/till Friday ? I would say that Monday through Friday would be the most correct here, but Monday to Friday is veryc ommon. Until/till may signify you're leaving work for some reason on Friday. For example, if you say, "I'll be in Tokyo till Friday," you'd be marking a departure date.

15 de dic. de 2006 · I don't ever remember seeing 'R' used as an abbreviation for Thursday. Single letter abbreviations are very uncommon, but the few places i've seen them, have only used Monday thru Friday, thus excluding the weekend days. In those instances, i have seen both 'M T W T F' and 'M T W H F' in use.

Is "from Mondays to Fridays" also correct? 3. If we are talking about a habit. Does it have to be "from Mondays to Fridays," just like we say "on weekends"? Thanks.
10 de feb. de 2013 · If you finish it on Friday then you might be OK. Before Friday - This suggests the deadline is Friday. But perhaps it's first thing Friday so ideally you need it done Thursday. Until Friday - Doesn't work in your sentence. In SwissPete's example: 'I have until Friday to finish this' - This does work, and it means the deadline is Friday.
18 de ene. de 2010 · Welcome, Taghreed. I think it's correct, depending on which variety of English you speak. I would say "from Friday on", but I see in this thread that an Australian would use either on or onwards in this construction.
24 de abr. de 2021 · I agree that it's probably included in "every Friday", but I don't agree that it is necessarily included in "on Fridays". One example for a perfectly unremarkable (2a) might be that I don't work very often, perhaps only two or three days a month, and when I work, it is always Friday, but when it's Friday I don't necessarily work.
