Alice in Chains (AiC) is an American rock band from Seattle, Washington, formed in 1987 by guitarist and vocalist Jerry Cantrell and drummer Sean Kinney, who later recruited bassist Mike Starr and lead vocalist Layne Staley. Starr was replaced by Mike Inez in 1993.

29 de abr. de 2024 · The Story Behind “Brother”. “Brother” was written by Alice in Chains’ frontman Layne Staley, who was dealing with the loss of his longtime friend and former roommate, Andrew Wood. Wood was the lead singer of the Seattle bands Malfunkshun and Mother Love Bone, and he died of a heroin overdose in 1990, at the age of 24.
