Frank Dixon Cox (28 May 1940 – 27 April 2021) was a British television director from the 1960s to the 1990s. He was married to actress Bridget Turner until her death in 2014. Cox studied English at the University of Leeds from which he graduated in 1962.
Elbert Frank Cox was born in Evansville, Indiana, in December 1895. He earned the baccalaureate degree from the University of Indiana in 1917 with a major in mathematics. After serving in the US Army in France during World War I, he returned to pursue a career in teaching.
