Francesco David Yates (born September 11, 1995) is a Canadian singer and songwriter, best known for his featurette in the 2015 hit single "Sugar" by German DJ Robin Schulz . Biography. Yates was born in Toronto and started writing music at the age of 11. He signed to Atlantic Records when he was 16.
