Fort Valley State University (FVSU, formerly Fort Valley State College and Fort Valley Normal and Industrial School) is a public land-grant historically black university in Fort Valley, Georgia. The school has served the African American population of the state for more than one hundred years and today is Georgia’s only 1890 land-grant school.
