Forenzics is a New Zealand musical project formed by Tim Finn and Eddie Rayner in 2020. It's a project that includes 'shades & echoes' of early Split Enz repertoire. The songs are combinations of new and re-imagined lyrics and music.
Eddie Rayner, Noel Crombie, Phil Manzanera and Tim Finn, henceforth known as Forenzics, created this new track Walking by writing a new song over an old bit.
Forenzics are proud to be part of a Dark Ambulance – a massive improvised and experimental music event taking place at the Record Crate in Glebe, Saturday the 10th December, kicking off at 3pm and going through till close. Music will be alternating between the upstairs band room and the downstairs bar/store/bistro.
Forenzics are a Sydney-based quartet with a distinct sound and attitude. Each performance is unique, the sonic instincts and improvisation styles of each player transform the varied influences of post-rock, noise, jazz and electronic music into the bands’ distinctive, engaging, and ever-evolving aesthetic.
The Forenzics repertoire, like paintings in an exhibition, is an album of individual works that together form an immersive and cohesive whole. It is a genuine sabbatical journey into the artistic unknown, mapped out by two artists at the height of their creative powers.
