In November of 1983, Mickey McAvoy (Bean) has set up a heist to rob the high-security warehouse of Brink's-Mat at Heathrow airport. The thieves are after gold bullion but what they find in the vaults are 6,800 gold bars, worth roughly eight times more than their intended haul.
