Flex-Able is the debut studio album by American virtuoso guitarist Steve Vai. This was his first as a solo artist, and was created in Stucco Blue, a shed converted into a studio in Vai's old back garden. It is very different from many of his other albums, and is largely influenced by Frank Zappa.

Flex-Able 36th Anniversary Release is out now! Well, it’s been more than 36 years since Flex-Able was released but when I decided to do this it was 36 years old, eh. I love this crazy little record and wanted to get one final up-to-date mastering done by Bernie Grundman himself who is perhaps the greatest vinyl mastering engineer in the business.
Flex-Able 36th Anniversary Edition (2022) Steve’s first album was originally available on vinyl and cassette through mail order, but was later re-released on CD in 1988 with some bonus tracks* from Flex-Able Leftovers added. The current version on iTuens does not include these bonus tracks.
