They signed to EMI in August 1979, releasing a further album in 1981, Fish'n'Chips with new bass player T.C. (Tony Cranney), but disbanded in 1981. Reformations. At this point, Gray and Douglas had already left the band, the former joining the Damned. Masters teamed up with the Inmates.

6 de jun. de 2016 · The Hot Rods line-up that recorded “Fish n Chips” was in fact a “new” Hot Rods, the band reverting back to a four piece, having lost bassist Paul Gray to The Damned, and parted company with the brilliant guitarist and songwriter Graeme Douglas. Gray is replaced by Tony Cranney. (T.C.)
