Fiddlin’ John Carson - Blue Ridge Music Hall of Fame. Carson was born near Fannin County, Georgia, in 1868 and grew up on a farm there. In his teens, Carson learned to play the fiddle, using an old Stradivari-copy violin brought from Ireland in the early 19th century.
