Shivers co-produced the first single for the band Shadowy Men on a Shadowy Planet. The B-side to that single, "Having an Average Weekend," became the theme to the television show The Kids in the Hall. He also co-produced the band's first two albums. He also played guitar in the instrumental rock band Sharkskin.

Coyote Shivers. Actor: Empire Records. Francis Coyote Shivers was born in Toronto, Canada, where as a teenager produced the first Shadowy Men on a Shadowy Planet single, of which the b-side became the theme to the hit TV show The Kids in the Hall (1988). Coyote went on to produce their next two albums before handing the dials over to producer Steve Albini (Nirvana, etc.).

The Canadian-American singer and actor toiled in those grit-and-glitter trenches before snagging roles that would eventually hitch his name to the shooting star of fame. He rode the ’90s like a surfboard, catching waves with a unique blend of punk ethos and screen charisma.
