31 de mar. de 2012 · Etta was invited to the 1958 Newport Folk Festival—a chance she was denied by her husband, Lee Baker, who demanded she stay home. It was not until after his death that she began to perform in public. In 1991, she became a National Heritage Fellow recipient. Music Maker partnered with her to make several albums in the late 1990s and early 2000s.
