Eskimo Day is a 1996 BBC comedy drama, written by Jack Rosenthal and directed by Piers Haggard, about the trials and tribulations of three young would-be students as they arrive with their families at Queens' College, Cambridge, on interview day. There was a sequel, Cold Enough for Snow, in 1997.

Eskimo Day is a 1996 British TV drama by Jack Rosenthal, on the theme of parents reluctantly coming to terms with their children growing up and becoming independent. The film follows various families as their teenage children have their interviews at the prestigious Queens' College at the University of Cambridge.

Eskimo Day is a tightly woven ensemble piece observing a diverse range of parent-child groupings on a single day of Cambridge interviews. As ever, Rosenthal 's primary sympathies lie with the Northern working-class family, and Lipman grabs her role of superstitious matriarch with gusto.
