Eric Randolph Close (born May 24, 1967) is an American actor, best known for his roles in television series, particularly as FBI agent Martin Fitzgerald in the CBS mystery drama Without a Trace (2002–2009) and Teddy Conrad in the ABC musical drama Nashville (2012–2017).
Eric Close is an actor, director, and writer. He has starred opposite Tommy Flanagan in the Amazon film Legal Action (2018) as an attorney who must defend his brother-in-law on a murder charge. He can also be seen as Ltc.
Eric is an amazingly successful actor who has starred in dozens of shows, including “Without a Trace” and “Nashville.” When my oldest son, Sage, died, Eric was immediately on a plane from Oregon to Nashville and was there for my family in every way you can imagine.
Eric Close plays Martin Fitzgerald, a member of the FBI Missing Persons Squad, in the crime drama series Without a Trace. The series ran from 2002 to 2009 and won two Primetime Emmys.
