Joe Boyd, Leiter des neueröffneten Londoner Büros des US-amerikanischen Musiklabels Elektra Records, suchte Ende 1965 eine britische Bluesband, mit der er Aufnahmen für ein geplantes Electric-Blues-Album machen könnte.
1 de abr. de 2017 · Eric Clapton & the Powerhouse was a short-lived British blues studio supergroup formed in 1966. The band starred Eric Clapton (guitar), and featured Paul Jones (harmonica) and Jack Bruce (bass) from Manfred Mann, Steve Winwood (vocals) and Pete York (drums) from the Spencer Davis Group, and Ben Palmer (piano) who had previously played with Clapton and Jones as a member of The Roosters.
