Miller was a major influence on many country music singers, including Hank Williams, Jimmie Rodgers, Bob Wills, Milton Brown, Tommy Duncan, and Merle Haggard. [1]

He started his career in the 1920s and 1930s on the vaudeville stage, and recorded for Okeh and Bluebird. He met Jimmie Rodgers, Bob Wills, Hank Williams and Merle Haggard, and inspired them with his music and comedy.
