Hace 2 días · After auditioning a series of drummers, Emerson asked his old friend Cozy Powell if he wanted to be involved, which by happenstance also allowed the band to retain the ELP abbreviation. Their sole album was released in 1986, going Top 40 in both America and the UK, but after a disastrous tour, during which they fired their management, they split up.

Formed in 1985, this spin-off band consisted of Keith Emerson (keyboards), Greg Lake (bass, guitar, vocals), and Cozy Powell (drums), replacing Carl Palmer from the original ELP lineup.

19 de abr. de 2024 · Sad to say, all three members of Emerson, Lake and Powell have since died, Cozy Powell was killed in a car accident in 1998, and Keith Emerson and Greg Lake both passed away in 2016. As an aside, the first track on each CD -and, additionally, the last track on the studio album ‘The Score’ is more of an overture than anything else.
