12 de abr. de 2024 · Whatever the reasoning, the union proved to be short-lived, producing just one album, 1986’s Emerson, Lake & Powell. But as shown in this three-disc reissue – comprising the original record bolstered by a pair of extra discs featuring live and unreleased material – it’s stood the test of time well.

Emerson, Lake & Palmer (ELP) formed in 1970 when Keith Emerson (keyboards), Greg Lake (bass, guitar) and Carl Palmer (drums) came together to form a prog rock supergroup that, in many ways, was the definitive prog rock band.
16 de abr. de 2024 · Emerson, Lake & Powell had some success, and their sole album is considered one of the best of both Emerson's and Lake's careers. Stylistically, it was a departure from their 1980s progressive rock peers, Genesis and Asia.
8 de abr. de 2024 · The album is interesting for Powell’s contribution and includes ‘Touch And Go’ and the poppy ‘Love Blind’ with Lake sounding very like John Wetton. It features more of the ELP vibe of old and the more so with Gustav Holst’s ‘Mars, The Bringer Of War’, although I couldn’t stop thinking about Dr.Who.
