Elisabeth Irwin began her career as a freelance writer in 1905, often writing about the poverty in New York City. In 1910, she became a field worker, or social worker, for the Public Education Association and later worked as a staff psychologist . In 1912, she began work at revising the curriculum for the children at Public School 64.

15 de feb. de 2024 · On Janruary 31st, 2024, we met with LREI alumni Naomi Picayo. Naomi shared many experiences and struggles through her journey playing high school volleyball and basketball and college basketball. While she shared many significant struggles, one really stood out to me.
I applied online. I interviewed at Little Red School House & Elisabeth Irwin High School (New York, NY) in Dec 2022. Interviewers were friendly and informative, but seemed to be looking for specific buzzwords rather than getting to know me as a candidate based on my specific experience doing clinical work with youth.
