John Joseph Wardle (born 11 August 1958), [citation needed] known by the stage name Jah Wobble, is an English bass guitarist and singer. He became known to a wider audience as the original bass player in Public Image Ltd (PiL) in the late 1970s and early 1980s; he left the band after two albums.
The second is more of a Jah Wobble album, with Jaki Liebezeit (from Can) on drums, and amounts to probably the greatest funk album ever produced.
24 de jul. de 2016 · Bill Laswell looms large on this one, as well as bassist Jah Wobble. For example, Wobble dominates “Sanctuary” – the fifth track on the album. Wobble’s driving bass and Bachir Attar’s ghaita are the featured players on this track, with Skopelitis’ guitar contributions playing more of a supporting role than taking the spotlight.

The experimental trance music outfit Ekstasis was led by noted underground guitarist Nicky Skopelitis, and featured fellow downtown New York City musician Bill Laswell in addition to Jah Wobble, Jaki Liebezeit, Zakir Hussain, and Badal Roy. Their debut album, Wake Up & Dream, appeared in 1998.
