Born in 1986 and currently living in Southport, CT, Egan Frantz subtly examines the philosophical underpinnings of the material world and the artist’s role in it. Frantz's large-scale allover compositions highlight tensions between the foundational elements of structure, color, and form—for example, the marks of frenetic action painting on a background of calculated color blocking.
