Hace 1 día · Henry Ford's first motor spluttered its way into history on Christmas Eve in 1893 - the same year his only son, Edsel Bryant Ford, was born. For the next few years, he experimented with engine designs, but he did not begin work on the final larger motor for his Quadricycle until January 1896.

No lengthy essays about the marque’s brief and star-crossed life on this occasion. Much has been said about its questionable styling, doubtful placement within Ford’s hierarchy, and lousy market timing (’58 recession!).
Hace 2 días · Ford married Clara Jane Bryant (1866–1950) on April 11, 1888, and supported himself by farming and running a sawmill. They had one child, Edsel Ford (1893–1943). Career. In 1891, Ford became an engineer with the Edison Illuminating Company of Detroit.

22 de abr. de 2024 · His wife, Clara Bryant, had grown up on a farm not far from Ford’s. They were married in 1888, and on November 6, 1893, she gave birth to their only child, Edsel Bryant. A month later Ford was made chief engineer at the main Detroit Edison Company plant with responsibility for maintaining electric service in the city 24 hours a day.
