Eddy Grant est connu pour ses textes engagés et sa capacité à faire coexister des genres musicaux (reggae, pop, rock britannique…). Né en Guyane britannique, il déménage à Londres en 1960 pour rejoindre ses parents. 5 ans plus tard, il fonde le groupe The Equals avec lequel il sort l’album Baby Come Back.
