Musician and producer born March 5, 1948 in Plaisance, British Guiana (now Guyana). When he was still a young boy, his parents emigrated to the UK, where he settled. He had his first number one hit in 1968, when he was the lead guitarist and main songwriter of the multiracial group, The Equals.
Eddy Grant has released 15 studio albums, 13 compilation albums and 19 singles. His album Killer on the Rampage peaked at number 10 on the Billboard 200 chart in the US and was certified gold.
