Ed Gardner (born Edward Poggenberg; June 29, 1901 – August 17, 1963) was an American comic actor, writer and director, best remembered as the creator and star of the radio's popular Duffy's Tavern comedy series.
Edward Gardner OBE (born 22 November 1974) is an English conductor. While still studying at the Royal Academy of Music in the late 1990s, he began his professional career as a choral conductor and repetiteur. Among other early posts, he was music director of Glyndebourne on Tour from 2004 to 2007.
Ed Gardner (1901-1963) was a versatile performer who created and starred in the radio and TV show Duffy's Tavern. He also wrote and produced several films and TV shows, such as The Man with My Face and The Cisco Kid.
Ed Gardner was born on June 29, 1901 in Astoria, New York, USA. He was an actor and writer, known for Duffy's Tavern (1945), Retro Static Radio (2020) and The Man with My Face (1951). He was married to Simone Hegemann and Shirley Booth. He died on August 17, 1963 in Hollywood, California, USA.
