The horn section was composed of Don Myrick on saxophone , Louis "Lui Lui" Satterfield on trombone , Rahmlee Michael Davis on trumpet , Michael Harris on trumpet and Harry Kim on trumpet.

A new horn section dubbed Earth, Wind & Fire Horns was established, comprising Gary Bias on the saxophone, Raymond Lee Brown on the trumpet, and Reggie Young on flugelhorn and trombone. With this came the studio album Touch the World which was issued in November 1987.
