9 de mar. de 2015 · Description. Dream 727 combines Suicideyears Japan and Remembrance EPs together in a joint CD release. James Prudhomme wrote Remembrance while reflecting on themes of love and loss against the backdrop of the deep American south he calls home. "Remembrance deals with letting go," he explains.
Synched with meticulous 808 patterns so on point and elegant, Remembrance makes it easy to take for granted what a meticulous craftsman Prudhomme is. With this in mind, revisiting Japan yields new discoveries. Japan features reworked tracks from the original mixtape, an inventive redraft so as to avoid the ghosts of samples past and pastiche.
Remembrance was later released with Suicideyear's first mixtape Japan (2013) as part of the album Dream 727 (2015). Critical reception
