In January 2017, Polachek released her second solo studio album, Drawing the Target Around the Arrow, under her initials, CEP. She was scheduled to perform at Moogfest 2018, but pulled out in December 2017 when the festival advertised a list of female artists performing that year, despite the festival line-up being predominantly male.
