The Daily Flash are an American folk rock and psychedelic band [1] founded in 1965, active until 1968 and reformed in 2002. [2] originally based in Seattle and later in Los Angeles. [2] The group was composed of guitarist/singer Steve Lalor, lead guitarist Doug Hastings, bass player/singer Don MacAllister and drummer Jon Keliehor.
Three more band members would leave before the recording of the third album: first was guitarist Doug Hastings, who left that summer to be replaced by another Checkmate, Larry Leishman, who had played with Freedom Fair and The Power Project until mid-1968 and then with Bobby Kris & The Imperials.
Seattle's first alternative rock band, The Daily Flash, are best remembered for containing Doug Hastings, the guitarist who briefly subbed for Neil Young in Buffalo Springfield and went on to join Rhinoceros, and for recording two obscure yet highly collectable singles.

7 de sept. de 2022 · Guitarist Doug Hastings passed through several groupings in the mid- to past due ’60s, and is most beneficial known for his short stint being a guitarist in Buffalo Springfield, completing for Neil Little using one of the days in which Little still left the group for some time.
