A loving Wife of the late Harold. A treasured Mum to Alan, Paul, Glyn, Brian, Chris and Julie. A dear Nan and Great-Nan. Dot will be sadly missed but fondly remembered by all of her loving family and friends.

The award was set up according to the will of Miles Franklin (1879–1954), who is best known for writing the Australian classic My Brilliant Career (1901).
