1 de mar. de 2017 · Domenic Troiano (January 17, 1946-May 25, 2005) was a Canadian rock guitarist. Born Michele Antonio Troiano in Modugno, Italy, Troiano became a naturalized Canadian in 1955. He was raised in Toronto and began playing guitar at age 15. As a professional musician, he was a guitarist for Ronnie Hawkins, Mandala, James Gang, The Guess Who and Bush.
Troiano subsequently played lead guitar 1972-73 for the US band the James Gang and 1974-75 for the Guess Who. In Toronto he led the Domenic Troiano Band 1977-79 and Black Market in 1981 before turning exclusively to studio work as a composer, producer, and guitarist.
Domenic Troiano was a Canadian guitarist whose musical style was varied and expressive. With rock as his foundation, he infused blues, soul, R&B and funk into his music, both as a solo artist and with bands like The Guess Who. Born in Modugno, Italy, in 1946, Troiano and his family came to Toronto in 1949.
He even completed several solo albums in the '70s, earning himself a spot in the Canadian Music Hall of Fame. Some of the solo numbers Troiano recorded so long ago, became available on CD just before the new millennium rolled around, proving that many fans still hold interest in his music. Domenic Troiano was born in 1946 in Modugno, Italy.
